  • Stitched by Crystal The Rowan tees fit is spot on. It is a slimmer fitting tee, which I love for my slimmer sized girl. With the weight of the rib knit pulling on my mystery knit, this one looks a little longer than the last two I made. But I love the longer length, it looks adorable with her Small Fry Skinnies, but pairs well with leggings too.

It is a quick sew and the instructions are super clear and easy to follow. This is actually the fourth one I made (A got one too) and I have one more on my cutting table already! I know this is a pattern I will be using over and over.

  • Sewing Like Mad SO the Rowan Tee! Like any other of Laura's patterns it is pure perfection. It has a ton of options and every single one is thought through and totally works.
I know I have said it before but I always get the feeling that Laura is holding my hand while I'm sewing her patterns. She has thought of everything and I just have to think about which fabric to choose.

  • La Folie I only have good things to say about this pattern. The fit is perfect and it has pretty good options that can be combined in 144 ways, how amazing is that?!!! So not only you have a great basic tee but you can combine the different options to make loads of different garments.

Laura makes really perfect patterns, seriously there are no loose ends, the instructions are super clear and easy to follow, everything matches, it has layers, it has a little guide to let you know which pages you have to print for a given size or style option (amazing right?), it has a cheat sheet with all the instructions in case you already sewn one and don’t need to read trough the full tutorial and I‘m probably forgetting some other amazing features.

  • House of Estrela I can say, no doubt about it, that Laura is one of my favourite designers ever. Her patterns are easy to print, piece together (they always match perfectly), cut and sew. Instructions are always clear, with beautiful and consistent images on every step. Of course, the Rowan Tee pattern is no exception to all of what I just said.

  • Oliver's Fancy I definitely think that this pattern is a basic that everyone needs in their portfolio, if just to have some fun variations on the basic t-shirt. Laura does a great job both on her pattern instructions and in the pattern sizing.

  • Nearest the Pin Laura has put together very clear instructions with full colour photos for all the different options available with this pattern. I started taping the PDF pattern together around 8 pm and was finished the tee by midnight – that was including putting the kids to bed in between. I LOVE a super quick and easy project like this – especially when it turns out to be so successful!

I think the addition of the lined hood takes this tee up a notch, from regular t-shirt to something a little more special.

  • Sew Outnumbered Laura has a growing range of boys patterns and if you hadn’t already figured I’m a BIG fan! I recently showed you my first two Rowans but in the past year I’ve also sewn up two Twisted Tanks, two pairs of Skinny Jeans and a pair of Fancy Pants Leggings.

  • Handmade by Brienne About that little pocket, though; it's just one example of the careful attention that Laura gives to each detail of her patterns. The Rowan Tee pattern offers more than 100 combinations to create your own unique top and shows you a cool little trick for getting a professional looking pocket hem every time.
Laura's patterns make you a better sewer. They are cleverly, carefully written and chock-full of technical details and descriptive photos.
